"I met Kristina in December 2024 when she traveled to me to help fit a Bates dressage wide on an extremely wide and very sensitive (demonstrative and picky about her saddle) six year old Warlander mare. Due to her shoulders being different widths, a lack of withers and very very wide I had been unsuccessful with two other fitters in getting her happy and comfortable. Think draft cross body with the sensitivity of an Andalusian. Kristina combined her breadth of knowledge and experience, formal training in saddle fitting and intuition and art and was immediately able to formulate not only an immediate saddle fit, but our refit plans and intervals to keep Kiki happy (and in work) over time. In collaboration with therapeutic farrier work from Sound Equine Services and a saddle fit that supported her shoulder uneveness we were able to get symmetry in her shoulders within 45 days allowing for proper topline development and freedom of movement. This symmetry then allowed us to focus on my pelvic imbalance and our next refit we also addressed support on my weak side (hip injury and not enough PT!) which further developed our balance and Kiki's confidence to move freely under saddle. Subsequent fits have addressed Kiki's continual development (muscular and symmetry) as well as changes in my hip and pelvic stability. I feel obligated to give Dr. Emily Rose with Reaching Strides Equine a shout out in her pivotal role in riding focused physical therapy key to developing my increased pelvic/hip balance, but Kristina's knowledge and understanding of the nuances of rider balance allowed us to continually make improvements in Kiki's saddle fit while supporting my development as a balanced rider. I am happy to call Kristina and Hudson's Tack my friend and partner in my development as a horsewomen and Kiki's development into a strong, balanced and confident riding partner.
